The Zwick/ZHV 10 has a proven track record, especially in determining Vickers, Knoop  and Brinell hardness, hardening, case-hardening and nitride hardening depth, together with Ritz hardness.

Two versions are available. With the analog instrument the hardness value is evaluated using hardness tables, while the PC version uses testXpert^® testing software. As well as being simple to operate, testXpert adapts to varying test conditions with great flexibility.

Load weights from 0.2 to10 kg (or up to 30 kg) and interchangeable lenses for various magnifications and image areas are available for both versions.

The Zwick/ZHV30 features weight loading, automatic test cycle and indentor carrier for extremely flexible testing positions and is available with an LCD line display or touch screen. Load change is via side-mounted rotary knobs. 

The measuring microscope possesses two measuring beams; the diagonal value is transmitted to the software at the touch of a button and the hardness value is automatically shown in the display. Statistical evaluations and standardized conversions can be carried out in addition to inputting tolerance limits.

Test results can be sent direct to a printer via an RS232 or embedded via testXpert testing software and re-processed and archived as appropriate.
