Hydraulic grips are primarily used when test loads of 50 kN and over plus high gripping forces are required and are available in single or double actuator versions. Single-actuator hydraulic grips can also hold asymmetrical specimens, whilst double-actuator grips have a auto-centering and eliminate the need for specimen thickness adjustment. Hydraulic grips are used for tensile, compression and cyclic tests.
- Defined load application ensures optimum gripping of sensitive materials.
- Accurately reproducible contact pressure.
- Individually adjustable relationship between gripping force and tensile force ensures specimen is held firmly.
- The combination of Zwick hydraulic power packs, testControl electronics and testXpert® II test software maintains constant gripping force, eliminating unwanted loads on the specimen.
- Larger grips have an optional T-slot shoe connector system, allowing small load cells, specimen grips, fixtures and other test devices be fitted without dismounting the grips - a great time-saver.
- Centering guide can be used to facilitate specimen centering.
- Specimen grips can be installed at three different angles (0°, 45° and 90°) to the materials testing machine.
